My physical therapist kept telling me it was my sleeping position. I tried everything — back, side, stacking two pillows, rolling a towel under my neck — and still woke up every single morning with my neck and shoulders completely seized up. Turns out none of my pillows were actually holding the curve of my neck at night.

Same here, there is no way my "position" explains waking up stiffer and more tired than when I went to bed. I'm 52 btw.

Anyone else wake up with neck and shoulder pain that takes a full hour to loosen up? I'm exhausted before the day even starts

From what I read, the issue is that most pillows go flat within months and stop keeping your head aligned with your spine, so your neck ends up bent at an angle all night long.

First full week of sleep without waking up at 3am to fluff and flip the pillow. Easily the best $49 I've spent this year.

Same! I was skeptical at first, but I haven't reached for the painkillers in the morning once since it arrived.
